We all experience challenges in life, but we may not have the tools to overcome them. You have taken an important step by seeking out a therapist. I can help you identify the issues and obstacles that are presently holding you back, and help you discover that you can do what you have always believed, or been taught to believe, you can not do. During the past five years of my training, I have focused on individual and family conflicts and crisis management working with families, couples, adults, and children.
I have worked with teenagers and adults ages 15-25. I have found this population benefiting greatly from therapy with respect to the sensitivities entailed during this developmental stage. Also, I have received special training assessing at risk and atypical children (Autism, Aspergers, ADD and ADHD).
I have worked with the families of special needs children, helping educate, adjust and accept the difficulties entailed. I am skilled in different modalities: Family Systems, Solution Focused, Psycho-dynamic, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioral, and Narrative. I assess the individual or family and match the therapeutic modality to their specific needs.
