I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice based in west Los Angeles with over 12 years of education and experience in helping adults, adolescents, and children with various difficulties, challenges, and relationship issues.
For the past 4 years, I have been working at a locked down facility for adolescents with severe psychological, emotional and behavioral issues.
I specialize in treatment of adolescents in the following:
relationship concerns and issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD, family issues and dysfunctions, grief and loss, at-risk adolescents, oppositional-defiant & attachment disordered children, and victims of abuse (emotional/physical/verbal/sexual), addictions, adjustment disorder, adoption issues, anger management, eating disorder, gender and sexual identity issues, stress management, parenting issues and skills.
In my practice I focus on children and adolescents in individual, family and group settings. My goal is to empower each person to discover his or her inner strengths and to live life as fully as possible. Through the therapeutic process each person gains a stronger sense of self and learns effective coping skills which are necessary to deal with the ongoing challenges and transitions that life brings to all of us. As a therapist and facilitator I work with each person to create a safe environment where self-understanding, self-expression and healing can take place.
My therapeutic style is caring, honest, compassionate, insight-oriented, and motivational. I tailor my therapeutic approach to my client’s strengths and needs in order for him/her to receive the most benefit from the sessions with me.
