Dr. Saeedvafa is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and specializes in EMDR with success in treating PTSD, rape recovery, abuse or neglect, abandonment, anxiety, phobias and fears (i.e., public speaking, heights, dental work, stage fright, test anxiety). Dr. Saeedvafa specializes in bicultural issues, helping clients adjust to a new culture, particularly with bicultural parenting issues, and works extensively with the Persian and Armenian communities.
In addition to using EMDR, which integrates elements of many effective psychotherapies designed to maximize treatment effects, Dr. Saeedvafa is also a registered Music Therapist and uses music therapy, guided imagery, stress management and relaxation techniques to maximize treatment.
